Hey guys,
So I set up a Minecraft server, and I'm able to access it via 'localhost' on my machine but I can't access it via my IP address. I've done port forwarding with the Simple Port Forwarding software for my router.
I've added Minecraft server to my firewall (Trend Micro 2010). I even tried turning my firewall off to see if that helped.
You don't need to add the port to the end as long as your server is running on the default port. The port the poster above gave was wrong anyway, it's 25565.
Can you go to www.canyouseeme.org and confirm that you've properly forwarded port 25565? Do you get any errors in console when you start up your server or does everything go fine with that?

http://www.canyouseeme.org doesn't come back anything with my port at the end of my IP, however when I go to connect without it on Minecraft the console reports "***.***.*.*:51731 lost connection" and Minecraft reports "Connection Timed out: connect". I try it with the 25565 at the end, and same result.

I'm lost on what I should do, plox halps?
Make sure you are entering your IP http://www.whatsmyip.org/ followed by :25655
If your server shows nothing in console for people connecting with IP then it may be a firewall issue.

Console says time out or connection error.

No errors at start up on the server end.
