Ok so I've set up a private server for me and a few friends and I got the idea that it would be cool to set up a web based map viewer (like MCMap Live) that would allow someone to load up a interactive version of the server map on their browser. I don't know exactly how I'm going to go about doing this or if anyone has already tired it or not but I'm going to give it a shot when I return from my holiday break.
If anyone has any suggestions or ideas let me know. Eventually I want to have a website devoted to the server that would allow people to register to it and have accounts, leave messages, post pictures, etc... (one idea was to have geo-tracking type challenges but that would require an accurate coordinate system). For now though I'm going to start with the live map rendering.
So it's been a while but I've been slowly working on the server log script. Unfortunately with the start of a new semester and also I've been working on system admin stuff for a new site, progress is a little slow. But, I've added in MySQL capabilities and at least this script is almost done.
Check it out on the development blog, also soon (but maybe in a week or so) I'll put up a link to a new site I'm working on launching. The site won't actually be ready for launch but it will be where I'm work on all the minecraft server project stuff so it'll be online none the less. Anyways, the code is available via a link in the repository page:
