My grandma and I have the same provider. Using NAT or someshit, I have no idea, they managed to give my grandma the same IP as myself. I don't know if there is some way to still make my server work with this unholy configuration, but if there is please tell me.
You are technically in a network(and if you have a router at home, that makes it a network in a network).
ISP is too cheap to buy IPs.
You need to find a way to connect to the router, and make it port forward.
If you have a home router, you need to find out it's IP.
Basically, it's like the standard connection but the router is yours, or this ungodly setup shown below:
Internet.
x.x.x.x
ISP Router
y.y.y.y
Inside of streets and stuff.
z.z.z.z
Home Router
a.a.a.a
Cables in your house.
