Norton believes we're using an illegal IRCBot used to hack into IRC servers and screw things up. That is not at all what we're doing. Our "IRCBot" is simply a preprogrammed client. There is no hacking involved, it just connects to the sever, logs in, joins a channel, and starts listening
When you say something in my server, it says "Error couldn't find..." Then something about the IRC channel, and when somebody leaves, the server crashes. I went as far as to uninstall Norton.
Hmm cool script, it has a great potential =D. I might suggest changing some things though.
1. To be able to set a map to only one person or at least make a map "private"
2. When someone is builder in a map, and you demote them to guest, they can still build unless they relog (or you kick them), they should lose building priveleges on another map that could be "private"
3. There should be a type of kick command that only kicks from a map, not the whole server.
4. Lastly, there should be a /unflood command or something as water sometimes does an oopsy XD but this is optional because there are backups for a reason ; P

1. We have been considering setting maps so only a certain rank can build/join, preferably if we get NBT support done since it handles tags.
2. We actually did have it set like that originally but removed it due to guests not being able to change map, knew there was a reason to leave it in.
3. Doable but not totally sure of the purpose if 2 was fixed, its technically better to get some one to rejoin than to force them to start loading another map as well, you can force people to connect to main though if you unload the map they are on entirely.
4. I have actually made a special block to de flood active water/lava, it just needs an easier command instead of needing to type the block names to get them.
Works fine now, excep that it some random times lags like hell and sometimes my sayd text just doesnt appear. Also, will and when will portals be ready? I cant wait!
everytime i try to conect it says "
(12:02:26) 127.0.0.1 connected.
(12:02:31) 127.0.0.1 kicked (You must login! Try again.)."
And then it freezes the web-browser. and i have to cancel the server to get the browser to work again..
Im logged in, and other people have no problem to join..
( i think)
And i have deleted players dna
tried to disable the irc robot.
Your client is taking too long to login. this could be due to the server currently being a CPU hog. Your browser is probably freezing for the same reason.

Installed last night. Worked good until I loaded a 256x256x256 map. Then server maxed out 100% cpu and used over 1.2 GB of RAM.
Other than that, this would be great if the number of commands was reduced by combining some with arguments, for example /guest, /builder, /op, etc., could be "/setrank <name> <guest|builder|op>"

I believe Packman is a utility for a different server, namely DF Server. : :smile.gif:
It is possible (although unlikely I guess) that the hacker somehow sent /tp <name> messages in the names of the other players, which causes them to teleport.
At least, I THINK it's possible... But someone would have to be pretty bored to do that.

I assume you mean an ISO of the .lvl maps. If so, then no, there's no way currently. We are going to be moving to NBT soon though.

He meant an isometric image of the level(s) running on the server, like IsoCraft can make with .dat files.
At least, I THINK it's possible... But someone would have to be pretty bored to do that.
