UGH! How do I get my old server's map into the MCSharp! I keep trying to paste my map into the Levels file and delete the other "mains" but the "mains" keep coming back! Help :ohmy.gif: :ohmy.gif:
Ulrich, can you start using version numbers for releases? It's confusing to find out if we should update.
Uh, he is.
Latest revision (I haven't read the newest posts above this post yet) is Revision 192.

You're lucky I just switched my main.lvl recently.
First, make sure the map is a LVL. If it is, follow these steps:
1. Shut down your server, make sure to save any work that's being done.
2. Delete the "main.lvl", "main.lvl.backup"
3. Go to the "backups" folder. From there, go to the "Main" folder. You should see some numbered folders. If you don't want to be restoring backups of the main.lvl you just deleted, delete all the numbered folders.
4. Click & drag (or copy & paste) the new main.lvl into the "levels" folder.
5. Right click the main.lvl you just dragged in, click "Copy"
6. Right click any empty space in the folder and click "Paste".
7. You should now have "main.lvl" and "main - Copy.lvl"
8. Rename "main - Copy.lvl" to "main.lvl.backup"
9. Start up your server. Changes should be immediately noticeable.
I'll bet you get into a lot of fights because you're so hardcore. I wouldn't want to cross you in a dark alley. Heck, even in a lit alley, I bet that'd be pretty dangerous.
I tried to update to the new MCSharp (196, I believe) and changed the server properties to my liking. However, when I open the Minecraft Server exe, the server properties file reverts back to the default, with everything saying "Put this here" even though I just copied all of the my previous server properties over.

There's no Revision 196. You must mean 192. At any rate, your server.properties should look like this:
Note: Make sure the filename is server.properties, and not server.properties.txt. Figured I'd say this just incase.
Note 2: For your servername and MOTD, keep it simple. Use letters and numbers. Some forms of punctuation, and symbols will cause the server.properties to copy your server name, and display it as your MOTD, so your server name would be displayed twice while logging in.
# Edit the settings below to modify how your server operates. This is an explanation of what each setting does.
# server-name = The name which displays on minecraft.net
# motd = The message which displays when a player connects
# port = The port to operate from
# console-only = Run without a GUI (useful for Linux servers with mono)
# verify-names = Verify the validity of names
# public = Set to true to appear in the public server list
# max-players = The maximum number of connections
# max-maps = The maximum number of maps loaded at once
# world-chat = Set to true to enable world chat
# guest-goto = Set to true to give guests goto and levels commands
# irc = Set to true to enable the IRC bot
# irc-nick = The name of the IRC bot
# irc-server = The server to connect to
# irc-channel = The channel to join
# irc-port = The port to use to connect
# anti-tunnels = Stops people digging below max-depth
# max-depth = The maximum allowed depth to dig down
# report-back = Automatically report crash information back to MCSharp developers (not yet in use)
# Server options
server-name = < Insert your server name here >
motd = < Insert your MOTD here >
port = 25565
console-only = < true / false > (Don't know what this does, but I keep it on false)
verify-names = < true / false > (Set this to true otherwise hackers/griefers can log in as a fake version of you and kick you from the server)
public = < true / false >
max-players = < Insert the max amount of players you want your server to hold >
max-maps = < Insert the max amount of maps you want to be able to /load at once >
world-chat = < true / false >
guest-goto = < true / false >
# irc bot options
irc = false
irc-nick = MCsharp
irc-server = irc.esper.net
irc-channel = #changethis
irc-port = 6667
# other options
anti-tunnels = < true / false >
max-depth = < Insert how many blocks deep you want Guests to be able to dig >
#Error logging
report-back = < true / false > (Again, I don't know what this does, but I have mine set for false)
Copy and paste this into your server.properties, change everything to your liking, run your server, see if it stays set, and let me know how it goes.

Is the MCSharp team dead? Even in their forum no replies to bugs etc. (like: thank you, we noticed it and will look into it).
KakashiSuno is missing, and I'm currently refusing to commit to svn till he does a certain thing. Worst comes to it I make a new SVN and either continue or open source it.

If it comes to the worse, if you end up making a new SVN, it better be exactly like MCSharp :tongue.gif:

Because MinerCPP is now pretty much dead in the water.
If you followed the thread the makers of MinerCPP decided it was altogether too unstable and decided to rewrite it from scratch with Lua plugins support. It is called LuaCraft and you can find them at http://www.minipenguin.com/.

I didn't follow the thread because I don't use MinerCPP anymore. I'm an MCSharp guy.

Put it this way, every time the colour changes in text &1 ect gets added to tag the colour. In certain rare cases this gets mixed with the word wrap and it makes the chat too long and causes a crash on clients.

Alright, so on the day7tech homepage, it says there's a new revision with 2 new doors (glass and obsidian doors), physics fix, etc.
Yet the only 2 revisions I see up for DL are 190 and 192.
Also, has the map backup problem been looked into yet? My server seems to be sporadically making backups (very rarely) for main, and sometimes (also rarely) for other levels.
This just makes it hard on me when main gets griefed, and the last backup I have is from 3 days ago.

We had the wiki updated ready for 197 for later today release hopefully.
Lately, I've been noticing a few different IP's connecting to my server, then a few seconds to a minute later, they disconnect. No username is logged. Here's some examples:
(19:29:10) 99.198.122.47 connected.
(19:29:10) New Connection
(19:29:15) 99.198.122.47 disconnected.
(16:10:48) 97.106.86.75 connected.

Are the people who made MCSharp the same people who made MinerCPP? Because MinerCPP is now pretty much dead in the water.

When you use /color <player> silver, or maroon, it crashes your game, and everyone in your servers game. Doesn't crash the server though
I'll shorten the text, its to do with multiple colours being used in a single line.
I'm confused.
All I know is using:
/color <player> silver
/color <player> maroon
Crashes everyones game. "The game broke! [java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 64]"
But I take it this means we're getting Revision 193?!
Ahhh, I see! :biggrin.gif:
