Since the MCSharp website has been having lots of problems lately, im hosting a mirror on my site. You can find it at http://www.minecrafted.net/mcsharp
The /help perbuild and /help pervisit commands are bleak and don't offer any real help.
For example, if I set my Builderland map to "/perbuild builder", would that make the map buildable on by only Builders, or everyone who is builder, or above the rank of builder?
I'll bet you get into a lot of fights because you're so hardcore. I wouldn't want to cross you in a dark alley. Heck, even in a lit alley, I bet that'd be pretty dangerous.

This needs to be cleared up.
And also, I made a bot...how do I control him?
/perbuild builder means only those of builder rank and up can build on that map. If you set it to /perbuild operator only those of Op rank and up can build.
You do not control bots. They control you. As far as I know they don't do anything and are there simply to entertain.
I personally hide them around the map and tell people to find them.

In server.properties set "anti-tunnels = true" and "max-depth = 0" then somehow use "/replace air op_air" to replace all the air except where you want guests to build.
Or you could just build a giant spawn jail.
Or you could just have a small main map for guests and have a separate map for builders to build on.
Man, thanks Ulrich and Neko for making this wonderful custom software. It's truly amazing to work with, everything gets done more efficiently and much, much faster. Though I am experiencing the "You must login!" error among my users, is this triggered by main being too large?
If so, I'm probably going to cut down main, which I'll dislike because we have some real cool stuff in there. Is 256 256 256 an acceptable size for main?

You could always rename your current main map and generate a smaller one.

Excuse me, is there any way to disable the ability to TP for builders? Thanks!
Some one changed the code at one point to let em have it, personally I don't think they should have. Since its meant to be a reward for advanced builders and up.
I believe I have the most current version of MCSharp. I have the botadd/botremove/botsummon commands, perbuild and pervisit. I downloaded it yesterday, from Day7tech (It was the one from Sunday, April 11, 2010 11:34 PM)
Only thing is with perbuild, and pervisit, if I use it on a map, set the pervisit and perbuild, then unload the map and reload it, the perbuild and pervisit gets reset.
And I found this in my server log. I don't know what this guy meant.
(07:15:44) <SN3AK> in case somebody reads the log
(07:15:51) <SN3AK> you need to update your MCSharp
(07:16:12) SN3AK disconnected.
He was trying to /goto unloaded levels, etc. He also did a few various commands that guests can do.
I've seen some other server with an apparent "closed beta" version of MCSharp that allowed them to have over the limit of 5 levels loaded. In this case, they had around 11 levels loaded at once.

Well, I didn't mean NEED but you didn't have the current version that disables the Cheat Engine hack for creating active water/lava blocks by guests. I saw your thread last night and went ahead and jumped on just for fun. I don't know what prompted me to test those other things but I did. The /goto I was trying to load using the names you provided in the thread.
OK, mid post, I'm looking at the version on day7tech.com/minecraft/ uploaded yesterday and it still seems to be incorrect. I'll be testing it here soon to see if the active_water is disabled or not.
EDIT: The version on day7tech.com/minecraft is still incorrect. That version still allows guests to place active water. This is the version Neko_Baron posted a couple pages back that is more updated and disallows the Cheat Engine hack. http://www.mediafire.com/?vmzmlmtmdyo

Ah :tongue.gif: Well you scared me for a second there because I had just woken up and checked Main to find it griefed all to hell, and 2 other people besides you were also on which makes finding out who griefed abit harder.
But apparently I don't have this "latest version".
Still, it doesn't fix the whole "unloading and reloading a map resets the perbuild and pervisit info" problem, does it?

I really don't like it, and I wish I could change it. I agree about the reward for Advanced Builders and up... is there -any- way to change this?

Alrighty, well the new version SN3AK posted above has the ability to set how many maps you can load at once (I've got my server set for 10), but it doesn't allow guests to /goto.
Still havent tested whether unloading and reloading a map clears the perbuild and pervisit status that had been set.

If you change the rank then quit and unload it instantly, the server wont have enough time to save the map as the info is stored with the level. To make sure please use the permission commands then use /save before unloading them.

Wait for next proper release, we're trying to sort out flist support and a number of other things have been addressed as well.

Oh duh >.> I'm an idiot.
It's just like the spawn problem I was having where all my converted DAT's were replacing the spawn point with a spawn point that was halfway in the ground, resulting in trapped users.

Yeah but that doesnt mirror the files. My site has the files too. I added some sub-forums, but ill remove them if ulrich200 doesnt want to use them.

/botadd <player name> summons a bot into the game that has the same skin as the player of the same name.
You can add a bot with your name and it'll have your skin.

Much thanks, it worked.
no, not yet, as far as i know :!:
