first off, MCSharp does not use 2GB RAM. I run vista which uses 1.5GB to run idle :/ MCSharp just bumps it up to 2GB that's 512MB used by the server with 2 medium maps running.
and when you think of it. maps store blocks as bytes (at best). 256^3 blocks = 16,777,216 bytes = about 16MB
secondly yes we are going to lower the RAM usage... hopefuly

Minecraft Name: KakashiSuno
I'm known as Kakashi, Kaka, KS, and the Coal Ninja =)
This, although mine only uses 1GB (one map at 256^3), granted the current computer I run the server on right now can spare it, the computer I want to move it to only has 1GB of RAM, and considering Win7 is already using half of it, I wouldn't be able to run MCSharp. RAM and recurring "unable to verify name" problem (even after deleting dna) are preventing me from running this right now, though I'd really like to be able to.
I have a question, how do you create a map, when i go /newlvl beths 512 256 512 flatgrass it does work?
Am i doing something wrong?
ups, did forget to say that don't try creating maps with more the 256*256*256...
the server won't do it :/
it will just freeze and you will need to restart it :sad.gif:

I made a 512 256 512 map with no problems
oh, ok but last time i tried i just froze :/
mabye they fixed that in the new versions
Sigh..
It took me a while to figure out MCSharp (Even the latest Dev version)
Won't allow server names with "/" in them
My server name is /v/ - Minecraft
I can't really run a /v/ server, without "/v/" in it
Is there any way around this?
There are two ways:
One is to say /solid and then place any block. ALL blocks you place while /solid is on will turn into adminium until you turn it off again.
The other way is /bind stone adminium

or /bind <block> op_<block>
this works for almost any block and won't turn it into adaminium

A list of all the op-only blocks that can be bound can be found on the forum at day7tech.com, but atm the site is bugged out.

When i put mapnames into autoload.txt the server doesnt work properly. I tried just the filename and the filename with extension (eg. city.lvl) and neither worked. What am i missing?
(all names taken from Concept Build :tongue.gif:)
The result would be that buildersville and opland would not have physics, physplayground would have advanced physics and oceanbuild would have normal physics.

k... just wondering.

EDIT: () doesn't work either

ok, thanks
That's only if you want physics. Also, DO NOT include main.
An example would be: (all names taken from Concept Build :tongue.gif:)

anything = 0
city = 1
waterworld = 1
Yet when i start the server, it still doesnt start. But when i make that file empty it starts properly.
Also, what does paint do and how do i make normal textured blocks that only an admin can remove?
You have to wait some time...
Also, why when i put main = 1 there it says "Level main.lvl not found" or something like that?
