I know that everyone hates greifers and we would all like them to blow up, or something. There have been attempts at huge lists of people that have been known to grief but those only work until greifers either change their name or one of the hundred new greifers every ten minuets comes along.

I propose that we do the opposite of those lists. Instead of having a huge greifer list, we should have a list of selected individuals that can, not eliminate, but put a bit of an damper on the constant greifing. Everyone can then add this list of people to their server op lists and whenever some of these people. Imagine them as the elite server ops of awesomeness. The ultimate enforcers of justice and non-greifage.

To apply for a position on this list you must be a somewhat recognized member of the minecraft community and have lots of experience as a server operator. If you wish to apply please join us on the minecraft TOL forum Also, if you know someone on the list already you may ask them to act as a reference for you.

I think that you are well enough know on the forums and through the other servers that you OP on that no one will question you being on the list. :tongue.gif: Same with you Citric.

Yep same deal. What does reference mean? To reference someone else? Or for a person that references you?

As in someone who is already on the list that knows that you are a good person to have on this list.
For example since I know Orj he could put Zachariasmith as his reference and then I would say, "Yup, I know this guy and I think he should be on the list.", and then I would add him.

Which also brings up the question, does anyone have any objections to me adding myself to the list?

I have people in my book who i set lines on "Person, trusted, respected, op" You're nowhere in there, i can't find you. So i can't say anything positive or negativie on you.

But seriously... medium... what gives you the impression I might be slightly untrustworthy? Is it my silly attitude, or my laid-back nature?

It's the fact that i don't take you on trustworthy just because of a staff position, and also i don't really 'know' you. But i know inside you would make a good trusted op anyways.
