Well, I have a Server for me and my friend. Recently, my sister hooked up a NETGEAR router. The IP address changes when she hooks it in. Then, my friend can't join the server because the IP address isn't working and I can only log in if I type localhost. Any help? And it only works when the router is unhooked. But we want the router to stay in... Is there any way I can keep it going while the router is in...?

You could also make a static IP so it doesn't always change.
I made my ip static and then guess what: IT CHANGED!
make sure when your sister plugs in her router you have your ipv4 address as "server ip:" in server properties, go in cmd and type ipconfig
make sure you have properly made your port on that router to

and if you can tell you're sister to off

False, You want to keep the IP in the server properties file blank, because not only is that the wrong address to put in. It will mess up the the connection. If you were (which you shouldn't) you would put your WAN IP in anyway.
Do you remember going to your Router when you set up the server and setting a Port and Activating it? If so then that's port forwarding.
If not, then you may have to look it up. It's really easy if you LISTEN VERY CAREFULLY. Best part is it won't take long at all. Or at least it shouldn't. Just try it out. That should fix your problem.
