First I would like to say, server-ip= is empty, I have rebooted my computer a million times, I made sure all Java processes were closed everytime I open the server(In control panel), I have tried this on multiple servers(My tekkit, 1.4.2 servers) and both came up with same error, and I have been through 3 pages of google searches. My dad recentley installed a program called ComputerTime on my desktop and right after I got back on, I opened my server and this error happened,C:\Users\"Name"\Desktop\Tekkit Server>java -Xmx3G -Xms2G -jar Tekkit.jar nogui182 recipes27 achievements19:48:56 [INFO] Starting minecraft server version 1.2.519:48:56 [INFO] Attempting early MinecraftForge initialization19:48:56 [INFO] Completed early MinecraftForge initialization19:48:56 [INFO] Forge Mod Loader version 2.2.91.173 for Minecraft 1.2.5 loading19:48:56 [INFO] Loading mods from C:\Users\Connor\Desktop\Tekkit Server\mods19:48:56 [INFO] Forge Mod Loader has loaded 1 mods19:48:56 [INFO] Loading properties19:48:56 [INFO] Starting Minecraft server on *:2556619:48:56 [WARNING] **** FAILED TO BIND TO PORT!19:48:56 [WARNING] The exception was: java.net.BindException: Cannot assign requested address: JVM_Bind19:48:56 [WARNING] Perhaps a server is already running on that port?>I think the software may be blocking my server somehow. Any solutions?
Try uninstalling the software, then trying it.
If it works, it's the software.
If it is the software, just change the port in server.properties. (25569 or something).
If it isn't, try the same thing.

I used a program called CurrPorts to find out any open ports, it prevents having to port-forward. It worked fine until I tried to add a subdomain. Then it had "FAILED TO BIND TO PORT" It's not MC 1.4.4, are you trying to use a subdomain?
I too am having this problem. I have no other versions of Java running, and I get the same error when I try to run my server. I can run the server with my Hamachi IP and it works fine, but when i use my normal IP It does the "Failed to bind port" error thing.
1. Make sure it is done Absoulutely Correctly. Try doing it again.
2. Make sure it is not blocked by any firewall
3. If it is telling you that something else is on the port, try a different one, add one or take away one and try it there. (port forward for the new port.)
