Windows 10 64-bit
AMD A10-7800 Radeon R7
Java 1.8.0_161
I have 8 GB of RAM with 4 allocated to Minecraft.
I created a custom modpack and just recently started experiencing a problem. When I first open up my save, everything is fine for about 3 minutes. Then exactly every 7 seconds I get a lag spike and my FPS drops significantly for about a second. I thought maybe I just played this world for a long time and I had too much stuff, so I downloaded Project Ozone Lite (Minecraft version 1.10) and I get exactly the same issue. When I went to save an exit, it crashed. Installing Optifine did not solve this issue.

I think I fixed my problem. Honestly, all I did was open my computer and cleaned it out. I think there was too much dust in there and it was overheating.
It doesn't matter what pack I play, I get the same freeze every few seconds and the pie chart thing says it has to due with sound. Anyone have a fix for this?
Unfortunately this didn't help. Because the issue has to do with sounds, I discovered that turning off all sounds before opening my save solved the issue. Although I don't like playing with no sounds, so hopefully i find a better solution.
I think I found a possible solution. Go to control panel-hardware and sound-sound, then double click on your default speakers. Click the tab that says enhancements and tick the box that says disable all sound effects.
After I did that the freezing has stopped completely, for now.

It turns out my solution didn't fully fix my problem. I did more troubleshooting and I'm having the same issue as this guy.

Are you using optifine?
if so go into performance and try witching fast render and smooth fps off.
i had this same issue a while back while using forge optifine and 5zig.
but changing those two settings helped me
Hope this reaches you and helps you
