guys... it's 2020. why would a power outage corrupt a world save to a point where the system deletes it without any kind of recourse? a power outage. a world i put many many many hours into and brought me great joy is gone forever on account of a simple power outage. maybe there was some shoulda coulda woulda that may have allowed me to salvage the world, but that's not the point. ITS 2020 SO WHY WOULD A SIMPLE POWER OUTAGE COMPLETELY DESTROY A GAME SAVE?!! i'm probably never going to play this game ever again. at least not for a while. in closing: it's 2020. a wonderful world of cloud saves, fast internet and large amounts of internal and external storage. A power outage should not destroy a game save. do better. the end.
its 2020 why are you getting sudden power outages without having a UPS or backing up important saves?
doesn't matter what year it is, if something is in use and gets a sudden loss of power data will be lost or corrupted, why do you think pretty much every game says, 'do not turn off game/machine while game is saving'
Also your rant is falling on deaf ears as this forum is not mojang run or visited, this is a community forum
you so clearly do not understand how filesystems work at all. any game, even one with cloud saves, can have it's save file corrupted by a power failure. No exceptions. The only way to prevent total loss in such a scenario is to maintain save backups - many games do this automatically, and it's recommended you do this manually to minecraft worlds. Minecraft worlds don't backup automatically because they can simply be too large to effectively do so.
Well let that be your lesson then to always make backups!
