I only have one world on my Minecraft account that I have been working on forever and all of a sudden whenever I click on the world it says "There was a problem loading this world" (I am using Windows 10 version by the way). I AM able to go on other servers and could create a new world with no problems, but I am not able to get onto the one world I actually use.
I have tried the following things with no luck:
-Forced close the program
-Internet reset via command prompt
-Restarted the computer many times
I was also looking into backing everything up and re-downloading the game but I am unable to find the ".minecraft" folder. I have used the Run Program (Windows +R) and typed in "%appdata%" and "%appdata%/.minecraft". I open Minecraft as an App through my computer, I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I also tried exporting the world to my computer but when I open the world it still says "There was a problem loading this world".
I would prefer to not delete the Minecraft App and back things up but obviously if it is necessary I will do it.
I have no idea what is wrong. Could the file be corrupted? If so, how do I find the extent of it and can I fix it or go back to a version before it was corrupted? ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated.
