I have seen this question asked a few times but with no answer and little details given. How would you go about importing an already existing bedrock world from windows 10 edition to a bedrock server?
I have tried copying the world and renaming it to the same as the server and I have tried just replacing the contents of the servers world folder, both of these actions result in being unable to connect to the world. I am trying to transition an old realm me and my friends used to a dedicated server, I already have the world downloaded and it works fine single player and LAN however i cannot get it to work with the dedicated server. Can anyone give some insight as to why this wont work?
Edit: Even copying the world to my Nintendo switch with checkpoint worked without issue so I cannot understand why this will not work with official software.
EDIT EDIT: So after a few hours tinkering I have solved this issue for anyone who has it, the answer is to simply copy everything from the 'db' folder from your original save to the 'db' folder of the save Bedrock server creates.
Make sure you delete everything in the 'db' folder bedrock server creates first then copy everything over from your game save 'db' folder, this should work perfectly as it has for me and I can now use my single player/ downloaded realm as a Dedicated Server. Make sure you only copy the contents of that folder as LEVEL.DAT was what was causing the issues when copied causing the server to not load.
