Hello, I've been getting back into Minecraft with friends now that Better Together has launched. We've noticed a few hiccups here and there such as blocks placing 2-4 in quick succession and doors opening repeatededly so you cant get through as it spam clicked faster than humanly possible.
But one bug I've found really weird regarding blocks that are normally single hit to break or, most recently, using a very high efficiency tool for that material. Back in java you just hold down left click and the blocks in question would get mined extremely quickly, sometimes many at once almost simultaneously. Now it just doesn't let you mine another block until you release the LMB and click again, forcing you to spam click to do things like clear snow from your settlement, harvest sugarcane, and most recently, using my new efficiency 3 diamond shovel to break dirt, where a normal diamond shovel or efficiency 1 would let me hold the button down to mine. also, the bug seems to go away if you start off mining another material that doesn't break instantly, then sweeping your crosshair over to the material you want. For example, if you drag your shovel over stone blocks for a short moment, you could drg it over top snow and mine a bunch in rapid succession.
Known examples include breaking crops by hand like sugarcane, using a shovel on top snow, using a highly enchanted shovel on dirt, and breaking wild grass.
Hey, I know this is 4 years old now, but I'm having a similar issue on a Spigot server and was wondering if you managed to get this resolved.
The issue I'm having is you cannot break any block unless you hovered over it and held down LMB on it specifically. Mining a block then continuing to hold LMB has no effect. Sugarcane requires you to spam LMB and strip mining now requires your full attention as you have to perform a new click on each and every block.
