The two MC's are written in different languages, so they can't understand each other. In other words, the worlds aren't compatible. (Yes, even though you can play both the PC and Win10 versions on your laptop).
The Win10 version will always be different than the PC version (read "crippled") as it has to work on all Win10 devices, including phones and tablets (hence the PE-like flavor). I understand that some people want/expect/wish that the Win10 version was more like the PC version, but that ain't gonna happen.
People seem to forget that all these different versions of "Minecraft" are not the same and are not compatible with each other, nor do they all have (or even should have) the same capabilities or features. Also remember that the Win10 version is beta. It may get servers in the future- but they'll probably be only "Win10" servers.
Bottom line: play the version that has the features you want.
Hello,
I'm playing Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta on Windows 10 Home. I'm trying to add Server on Friends list. But, it won't add any servers I want.
Can you help me?
Here's a link to any servers I'm trying to add.
MCParks Server
Pokemon Server
Zelda Server
Webrosc has it correct.

Re-read what the others have explained to you. You cannot play non-local multiplayer currently in Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta as of 0.12.2.0.
