I am planning to buy and record vids for my channel on a Nexus 10. But my only concern is that it's toooooooo big. So is it?

No, it's not too big. It may be awkward at first, but one you get used to it, it works pretty nice. If you are getting one, you may want to wait a few weeks when the new model will hopefully be released. If you don't need the new one, you can wait until its released and then buy the older model at a lot lower cost.
My friend has Minecraft on his Nexus 10 (I have it on my ASUS Android tablet as well, same screen size). It's a little awkward, but you get used to it fast. Minecraft has a bug on the Nexus 10 where the controls (buttons, directional pad, etc) are smaller than normal, but you can still play it easily.
Also, there won't be a new Nexus 10 released soon. There is however a new Nexus 5 device about to be released.

You do know the directional pads are resizeable right?

The 2013 Nexus 7 is a perfect tablet for MCPE. With a fast processor and a amazing screen, everything runs buttery smooth in beautiful 1080p. I am so glad I got one. If you do plan on getting a N7, you can't really record in 1080p though. It gets too laggy. I can record in pretty fast 720p after tweaking the settings around for optimal recording.

There probably will be another Nexus 10 soon. The current model has been around for nearly a year already.
