Was playing in a world and power went off at home for a few seconds, and when trying to log into the world when the power was back, the world simply wasn't there, this is unnacceptable
Probably the world save file was corrupted when the power went off, a good thing to have is a battery backup for just such an emergency, when the power goes off the battery runs the computer for a few minutes letting you shut down and save everything.
Of course that doesn't help you now. You can look in your saves folder and see if the file is still there, it should be or at least some of it. Then you can ask on this thread
This is in legacy console support so the corrupt recovery support people may not be able to help as accessing files on a console isn't something console makers support and getting to the files may break the console T&Cs
ah did not even notice that, sorry. Yeah on console I doubt there will be much to do to recover the save.

When the electricity went out did you play the world? If so, you just haven't saved and you have to play again.
Another example of why regular backups are so important...
