Randomly, people I am playing with will turn invisible and people will randomly reapear. This is not the "Invisibility potion", it is a wierd random glitch, but about 80% of the people are invisible. I am playing the mcpvp server kitpvp.com, I see things like people killing invisible men I cannot see but they obviously can, I see the particle effects. The mods I have installed are rei's minimap updated, forge updated, inventory tweaks updated, and optifine updated. And also with a fresh install of 1.5.1 and the faithful texturepack.

I have enever heard if such a thing.
I do know that in MCX360 you can turn invisible if you're the host.
And in some servers, like search and destroy, you have choice to go invisible (as a class).

Yeah me either... I've played minecraft since alpha and never has this happened.

This has happened to me, too. I couldn't see my friend, but he said he was right in front of me. I exited and entered again, and he was there. It's never happened before the update.

This signature has absolutely no point at all. And then it has a point to inform you that it has no point, but it has no point because it really doesn't have a point, but it has a point because it tells you it has no point... and ah, screw this.
It's Forge, my brothers have the same problem. It only happens on certain servers though. Have a back up vanilla jar that you can switch to for multiplayer.

This is an entirely different problem. Sometimes your client won't render a player. Your client won't even be able to interact with others, but others can interact with you. Very annoying on PvP servers. It is fixed by relogging or running until they are out of your render distance.
I know this is an old post but I just saw this. In my case I /tpaccepted-ed a player and suddenly I was attacked but I couldn't see him or even the name over his head. Died by fists. On RuinCraft.
