I've tried everything I can think of to get LAN games to show up in the "Play Multiplayer" window but it just stubbornly sits there "Scanning for games on your local network".
I think I've tried all the obvious things. Two copies of Minecraft Java Edition, identical versions 1.21.4, one on Windows 10 the other on Windows 11, the two machines can ping each other, etc, etc.
I can set up a direct connection between the two machines and I've taught the kids how to look up the IP address and port so they can play together. It just bugs me that the scanning for local games doesn't work and I can't for life of me figure out why. Any ideas?
