i get an error message saying

net.fabricmc.loader.discovery.ModResolutionException: Could not find required mod: fabric requires {java @ [>=16]}

im using multimc

my mod folder is below

fabric requires {java @ [>=16]}

For MultiMC you have to set the Java path to Java 16 to play Minecraft 1.17

Install Java 16:

https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/javase-jdk16-downloads.html

Use the Windows x64 Installer

In MultiMC set the Path to the new Java version:

C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-16.0.1\bin\javaw.exe

Or use the Java 16 Version from your original Minecraft Launcher at:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Minecraft Launcher\runtime\java-runtime-alpha\windows-x64\java-runtime-alpha
