I'm running multiMC (don't think that should cause a problem) with the same version of forge, NEI, and codechickencore as the guy in the previous thread. There is no bin folder, the config folder is empty, coremods is empty, and I have the same file structure recommended in the second to last post, yet the game will not launch.
What do you think is going wrong here? This is not a modpack I installed; I'm just viewing an old world and wanted to preserve the terrain (hence 1.6.4) while getting NEI enabled. I don't see anything wrong, apart from using multiMC.
Did you install it exactly as shown in this post (from the thread you linked to)? The error indicates that a class file can't be found, which is almost always caused by a missing dependency from a mod with multiple separate jar files (usually "core"/"library" files):
Make sure in the mods-folder are only
CodeChickenCore-1.6.4-0.9.0.9-universal
NotEnoughItems-1.6.4-1.6.1.9-universal
1.6.4-folder
And inside the 1.6.4-folder: CodeChickenLib-universal-1.6.4-1.0.0.62
(one thing that does not seem clear and may be the cause of the issue - does "1.6.4-folder" mean a folder named "1.6.4-folder" or do they mean a folder named "1.6.4"? Either way, you can try either name)
Hello, have a similar problem to the thread found here:

The mods directory is as follows:
CodeChickenCore-1.6.4-0.9.0.9-universal.jar
NotEnoughItems-1.6.4-1.6.1.9-universal.jar
Folder--1.6.4-->CodeChickenLib-universal-1.6.4-1.0.0.62.jar
Here is my log file.

I went ahead and tried with the default MC launcher and ran into the same problem.

Is something wrong with the 1.6.4 files for NEI? Forge is running fine, and other mods are okay as well.

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
Inside /mods/1.6.4/
check the size of CodeChickenLib - it should be about 200kb
If not, then the file is invalid
Currently, CodeChickenCore has issues downloading the CodeChickenLib file.
In this case you have to check for external sites and download CodeChickenLib manually
