Hello we are trying to play minecracft Java edition, specifically multiplayer.. we just got this laptop on windows 10 and we just bought Java edition and used a new Microsoft account to sign up. Never had this problem on Xbox but we did have a similar problem on Nintendo Switch with another brand new account. Exact error message is in the subject line. thanks
it takes me to this page and when I click on the privacy & online safety button it takes me to the same page and it turns into a loop and i hav seen other people have the same problem
edit: I saw people say use an family accound and i did that it dit not change
i have managed to fix it by goig to settings on a family account and changing from there and i really thank you for your support wouldnt be able to do it othervise

Go to your Microsoft Account and check your settings
There is a Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety tab
Set Join Multiplayer Games to Allow - also check for other settings
Save it - wait a few minutes and also restart the game

the sign in/login button is unclickable on the xbox website and the link under the picture does not work

There you will find Privacy settings

unfortunately no its still in the loop and its my account in top right and if i click on it it just refreshes the page
Test it with another browser
When you click on your name there will be a small window popup
There is the link to your account

i tried opera gx edge chrome and internet explorer and dint work on any stlill on this loop
