So I have been trying to log on to my account via both the Minecraft launcher and Mojang's website. Both have been unsuccessful for the last 8+ months. I have contacted Mojang customer support multiple times (with proof of purchase), and after waiting 2 months for an answer, they send the same copy+paste automated response that does not help. I have tried resetting the password but never receive the email. I made sure that all of my credentials are correct, but still nothing.
I have never used "MCleaks" or anything. I never even heard of it until Google'ing the issue. I've tried resetting my IP, firewalls, anti-viruses, the whole shebang. Nadda.
I even thought that maybe I should just get a new copy. But the link to purchase Minecraft on the Mojang site is dead.
Does anyone one have ANYTHING I can do, or are my Minecraft days over?
Run HijackThis as Administrator, choose "I accept", then "Do a system scan and save a log file". After a while, a text file will open. Copy everything, put the log on https://paste.ubuntu.com and give us the link.
Say something silly, Laugh 'til it hurts, Take a risk, Sing out loud, Rock the boat, Shake things up, Flirt with disaster, Buy something frivolous, Color outside the lines, Cause a scene, Order dessert, Make waves, Get carried away, Have a great day!
I hate to keep having to reply to my own thread, but I can see the pattern. Everyone who is experiencing the same issue as me is simply ignored by both Mojang and the support staff here. People are being locked out of their own accounts and no one is doing anything to help them. Great to see this game takes care of it's oldest customers.
The "support staff" here are not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft at all. We're simply volunteers who moderate the forum and help out members (when we know what their problem might be) in our free time. Sometimes, we may not be sure what the solution to someone's problem is and therefore don't respond. We hope that other members reply with other potential solutions as fast as possible, but sometimes, you may need to wait a bit or bump your thread a few times (within reason) until someone who is more knowledgable on your specific issue sees it.
You may have a problem with your hosts file, which overrides DNS queries. Please do the following: Go to the Start Menu and locate notepad. Right click notepad and select Run as Administrator.
Press File, then Open. Enter %SystemRoot%\System32\drivers\etc\hosts as the "File name" and press "Open". Copy the contents onto https://paste.ubuntu.com , and give us the resulting URL.

Try without NordVPN.
I have. I tried Nord once. Every other time has been without.
So should I just give up on this then as apparently even Mojang doesn't care anymore?

Wish you all the best.

CypherGuard is still there.
I uninstalled it as asked. I have no idea why it would still be there.
Maybe adwcleaner can clean it up, run a scan with it.
Okay, I did some digging and hopefully I got rid of it this time: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/3TYX9STsVt/
Alright, did even more digging. Let's pray it worked this time https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/X6xCsd6wM5/
