I made a personal modpack for 1.12.2 with like 140 mods, I installed optifine and better fps but I encounter a lot of lag spikes.
Better fps uses the Riven's algorithm (i don't find any difference between all the algorithms, except for the taylor's one, it's very bugged).
Allocated Ram: 13 gb but the game when starts use like 10\11 gb and in the worlds the game use from 60% to 70% of the Ram of 13 gb
In game there is no difference of lag spikes between low graphic options and mid graphic options, while in high graphic options there are even more lag spikes
Computer's interested specs:
-GTX 1060 6 gb
-16 gb of ram
-intel core i7-8700k
-minecraft is installed in a SSD (maybe this help with texture loading or world loading etc...)
NEVER allocate more than half of the PC's system RAM to MC. More memory does not mean better performance. Java does not handle large amounts of memory effectively.
Allocate much less memory to Minecraft and remove some mods.

"We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far."
So if there is less ram, java works better?
Allocate much less memory to Minecraft and remove some mods.
I did it, now I make 60 fps standard, thanks for help
