I recently got a new laptop and decided it would be a good idea to get minecraft on it, so I installed the minecraft launcher and i tried to open it and it came up with this message:
Unable to start minecraft runtime environment. This is most likely caused by a corruption. Please try to reinstall minecraft.
So I did that, I reinstalled minecraft, and it still did the exact same thing. So I reinstalled Java with different versions, but it still came up with the message.
So I decided to come on here to get some help on the forums as I thought you guys could help.
I went into the .minecraft directory and the only file in there was a txt file of a crash log i think. I've attached the log in a pastebin below.
