this is an odd thing thats been happening to me for a while. i dont think its a wifi problem. as it was working perfectly fine before and my wifi has been working fine as well.
everytime i try to join my friends server, realms, or really anything multiplayer. it loads in. i can move but i cant break or collect anything. i can see peoples messages but i cant see mines. then after a few seconds i get this error:
Internal Exception: java.io.IOException: An existing connection has been forcibly closed by the remote host
what does this mean? how do i fix this? they had to make a new server and im still getting the same problem. i also tried another friends server. it worked once after a few attempts. so my guess is it lets me in if im lucky. but its getting frustrating at this point.
found out it gets slow when i connect it to my laptop. is there any way i can fix this? i use my phones hotspot cause i dont have proper internet. so anything involving routers and such arent any help. and i know it can work on minecraft cause previously it worked fine.
If you want to play multiplayer, obviously you need an internet connection.
but previously it worked. and if im lucky it will let me connect. so that means it CAN work with the connection.
It's either your internet connection being lost between you and the server, or maybe the area the server is hosted in is in another country. But I don't know. I don't recommend phone hotspots, use a internet wifi that is linked to your area or router.
i have to use the hotspot because i dont have internet wifi or a router that works. im just confused about this cause with games i usually play online. and i never had problems with connecting to servers. im pretty sure if it can work with everything else minecraft should let me use it. i dont think its my wifi and more minecraft just having weird requirements.
