I'm having a problem teleporting to an unloaded chunk. While the area is loading, I can see my Y value dropping and then I die. I've had this problem when teleporting to a location just above the bedrock but this time I'm going to y=40. In creative, I would solve this by flying before I teleport but I'm trying to set up a command block with a pressure plate that a player in survival can use to teleport. I have several others set up and working but this one kills me every time. I've attached a screenshot of the destination location. iI is located at 1240 40 -1199 in an ocean monument that I copied in with structure blocks. One possibility that I have considered is but haven't tested is that the kelp in the area is causing lag which allows me to fall out of the world before it finishes rendering. I'd like to know if that is plausible and if not, what else could be a factor? I am using the most recent update in vanilla.
TIA for any insight you can give me.
PS My laptop may not be the best but I can play Blightfall and Departed on it, so I figure it should be able to handle anything vanilla can throw at it.
