As the title suggests, Minecraft seems to be running pretty slow for my computer specs and I'm not sure why. I am getting lower frame rates than I was expecting. Maybe this is normal for MC now? I haven't been on in years. I have 8/16GB dedicated to Minecraft. This is an unmodded, Vanilla version of Minecraft Version 1.13.2 on my Windows 10 PC. There are no other apps open except for Discord.
Lower your render distance and turn off mipmapping.

Thank you, I turned my render distance down to 15 chunks, but I kept the Mipmap Level at 4 and it works just fine.
