Im having troubles joining my friends server. I know his ports are forwarded properly because others can join. But when I add his server, it cant even find him. So I tried to host it but when I did that, he couldnt join and he had the same problem but others still could. So we had one of the others host it, but when he did that, me and the original host could join but the others couldnt connect.
I tried pinging him in cmd but I couldnt get any response. I tried turning off windows firewall, the router firewall, antivirus, going dmz, changing to static IP, none of those seemed to work. It seems to be a problem between connections being blocked but I dont know how to fix that. any suggestions?

It used to work also but since we started playing again It doesnt work.
This is not a Minecraft bug, this problem is caused by your/his router or firewall. Since the ping didn't work Minecraft can't do anything, but it's strange others can connect but your friend can't.
