When I check my audio there is sound coming from minecraft, the green bar of the audio goes up as soon as I click any minecraft button showing it is responsive but I hear nothing with or without earphones. My laptop isn't muted either.
I've tried:
Changing mipmap levels
Check minecraft wasn't muted in audio and mc settings
Update your audio drivers (Open Device Manager ->Sound,video and game controllers -> Rightclick your audio device -> Update Drivers -> Follow steps on-screen)
Check to make sure that Minecraft isn't muted in audio mixer (Right click the sound icon in the taskbar -> Open Volume Mixer)
Check if the sound is being played trough the correct sound device (Right click the sound icon in the taskbar -> Sounds -> Playback -> Select your audio device and select "Set Default")

This is very weird. Here is what you should do:
I did all that and it wouldn't work, then a few days later it fixed itself. Now its back to not working.
