Hi there, I bought the windows 10 version of minecraft accidentally, while having a windows 7 PC i cant figure out how i can get it to work. I can send my CD key to admins or something if needed, i just want to be able to play on my PC
Win 10 (bedrock edition) minecraft will not run on a Win 7 Operating System. Whether it due to Win 7 coding or something I don't know but it just is not compatible. The only way I can think of atm is to go through & create a 'Virtual machine' on your Win 7 machine that's running Windows 10 OS & load the game onto that to play it
(I'm also curious - HOW did you get Win 10 Minecraft if you're on Windows 7 ?? I thought you could only get the game through the Windows 10 'store')
The only thing I can suggest is to contact Mojang/Minecraft & explain the situation & perhaps they will either offer a refund or a 'Swap' to the Java edition
