Alright. I was looking for it for multiple days and I tried one more time today and suddenly it came up. I think the problem is not there anymore whatever it is.

I've started playing minecraft and I watched videos on youtube of people showing cool things like an elevator that require an observer block.
Multiple videos show this block, so it definitely exists, but I can't find it.
I can't search for it in creative mode and it doesn't come up when I try to make it on a crafting table.
I don't know where to go with this. What's going on here? I have a paid non-pirated account, so I have the latest version.
