Just to clarify, I'm not even 100% sure my "version" of Minecraft is the Java version, but I assume it is? I'm on Windows 7, and downloaded the launcher and play from my PC. I've played Minecraft off and on, every 2-3 years I get into a phase and play for months. Then I take a break and repeat. I haven't played in probably 1.5 years, and I heard recently about the big update where they added corals, underwater things, etc. Now I'm excited to play it but unfortunately it's failing. I have a favorite main world I've put MANY hours into that I want to play in the newest version. I play the standard game, no mods, no snapshots, just totally standard.
I got excited to hear about all the updates, opened the launcher and it automatically updated itself. Now when I click Play, it's saying "The game crashed while initializing the game" and I'm getting this report:
1. I just updated Java, the other day. Supposedly Java may not even be needed but I updated it fully.
2. I did try turning off my AV (Malwarebytes) and that didn't help. Quick note, I've had that AV for years, used to play Minecraft on my PC just fine with Malwarebytes and it was never an issue.
3. I uninstalled Minecraft and re-installed it. No luck, still crashing.
4. I WAS able to star the game if I joined my other Windows user account. It was installed there, I opened it and it worked. I have no idea why or how but this does lead me to a separate question. When I finally hit "play" it said "Hey, you're on an old version, want to update and play the new one?" I said yes and it backed up and played my saved map in the new version. There's an issue, I used a minecart thing I set up a year and a half ago and it was REALLY choppy like 5fps the whole way. It used to be smooth. I remembered hearing about a new "optimize world" button but I can't find it, anywhere? I'm not seeing optimize world on my Minecraft. If the other questions can't be answered and I can't get Minecraft to play on my main Windows user account, then I'd at least know ideas on how to get my normal game to stop being laggy. It definitely has something to do with the update, my guess is that optimize world button would be nice but I don't see it.
I'm not 100% sure I did this right, but here you go. Thank you in advance, I'd really love to play soon. I'm not the most advanced user so would appreciate any tips like you're talking to a 10 year old lol.

Well, with respect, nobody was helping me anyway lol but I do understand. I'm definitely hoping somebody can help.
Here's part that confuses me about your answer. First, the game runs mostly fine when I sign into the other Windows user profile. If it was a lack of GPU processing power, shouldn't it fail on the other user profile too? Second, I've ran minecraft for years on this system without issue, GPU hasn't changed. Maybe the latest update requires a bit more power? Even still, if that's the case, it doesn't figure out the first point I made.
Any thoughts on that?
and I do appreciate your help. For what it's worth, I try to help people out on forums all the time for other topics in life.
