So minecraft has always lagged no matter what set up I have, and I've always looked at ways to fix this. I stopped playing after a while and my GPU recently broke so I decided to get a new one and see how Minecraft was. Still laggy but at an even worse scale. The game now does a massive lag spike every second and saying unplayable is an understatement. I think the issue lies with something to do with rendering the world.
Say something silly, Laugh 'til it hurts, Take a risk, Sing out loud, Rock the boat, Shake things up, Flirt with disaster, Buy something frivolous, Color outside the lines, Cause a scene, Order dessert, Make waves, Get carried away, Have a great day!

PC Specs:
GPU : GeForce GTX 980/PCIe/SSE2
CPU : 6x Intel Core i7-3930K @ 3.20GHz
RAM : 16GB
And before anyone comments anything, I have already:
Reinstalled Minecraft
Reinstalled Java
Reinstalled Graphics Card Driver
Given Minecraft more RAM
Used Optifine
Used different versions of Minecraft (its a lot worse in the later ones)
Added the Java argument thing
Tried lower settings (which helps but usually either temporarily or not by much)
Here are some issues showing the spikes.
Turn off Mipmap Levels.
That makes my minecraft ok when im staying in the same area but if i fly around in creative, itll start lagging like crazy
