Hey guys for some reason Minecraft is running at an average of 25fps despite the fact that I have quite a decent gaming PC here's the specs:
OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core I7-7700K @4.20Ghz
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070Ti 8GB
RAM: 16GB @1197MHz
Although I must mention that I can run it at a maximum of over 1200fps on lower settings but my brother plays it on max settings at over 100fps despite the fact that his PC is quite a bit worse than mine and it confuses me so much, yes I do have the latest version of Java installed and yes it is 64-bit, I have also checked the Nvidia Control Panel and I have made it so that all of the settings favour performance rather than quality but I still have no luck, as soon as I bump up the render distance from 12 to 32 my frames take a dramatic hit. I have also made sure that it is definitely using my GPU and not just some integrated graphics, no I do not have optifine but neither does my brother and as I've said he runs it fine with everything at max with his Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 and I7-4770K, I just want to be able to understand why I can't run minecraft at max settings, I even allocated 12GB of RAM to Minecraft and that did absolutely nothing, I have literally tried everything and nothing seems to be working, I'm honestly stumped and out of ideas of what could be the problem and I know I should just run it at 12 render distance instead of 32 but it really bugs me as to how my brother can have everything max and I can't, I don't even play Minecraft often but it's just really bugging me, please help and sorry for rambling.
I suggest installing Optifine and then checking out its multiple options to turn stuff on and off. Maybe you can then find a specific setting that helps. By the way which version are you using? Is VSync turned off or on?

Are you overclocking your gpu/processor? maybe stop doing that if you are. also turn v-sync Off. So if your using msi Afterburner or something similar turn it off. you should notice a difference.

do you have mods installed? and if so how many.
