Hello, I'm running into a comedy of errors trying to get Minecraft on my windows 10 hard drive. I already have the game installed from years ago, but the game launcher refuses to update. I tried logging in to re-download it from scratch, but it was so long ago I don't remember my password. Upon sending an email to support asking for a password change, they never answered back, so now I'm trying to get it on a new email. Unfortunately, there is some sort of error when I try to purchase the game, I get a message saying this: "An error occurred while placing order, please verify credit card info and try again."
I am certain that all of my information is correct, and the official support page is no help. It doesn't tell me what exactly is wrong, just that there was an error. Is it something with my info, or just the website being weird/down?

They are dealing with a backlog due to just having christmas holidays, sending multiple mails will just delay them further
