I apologise if this issue has been brought up here many times before, but I cannot seem to find a solution.
Yesterday, for my son, I registered a Mojang account for the first time ever. I paid my AU$35.00 (I have the Mojang receipt email with Transaction Id) and I downloaded the dmg file to my Mac. I installed Minecraft Java Edition on my Mac, but upon starting it up, it will only allow to be played in Demo mode.
I have logged on and off on the launcher many times. I have also tried using different computers to log on to and log off from my Mojang account. When I log in to my Mojang account, it offers me an option to enter a token id/key from a pre-paid voucher to download Minecraft, but I have never received one.

I have spent hours checking forums and youtub videos, to no avail.
Has anybody got any suggestions to save what little hair I have left on my head?

no one here can help with account issues
Yeah I suspected that might be the case. I have already contacted support. They are backed up until Dec 18th at the moment, apparently.
