I just got a new PC and everytime I open minecraft in fullscreen again (even after just switching out quickly then coming back) it gives me a 30 second-2 minute lag spike in which I can't do anything on my PC. It's getting really annoying and I switch in and out of tabs very often so it is causing me great problems, all help would be great, thanks.
edit- I use 1.8.9 and I don't want to use a different version :/
Caused by a the Windows 10 April Update 1803.
Disable Focus Assist.
Press the Windows key > Configuration > System > Focus Assist then disable everything.
