I've been playing minecraft since around september of 2012...I always played on a crappy laptop where I would get about 20 fps with render distance on 20 chunks....
Last august I bought myself a gaming Desktop computer. The specs are: GTX 1080, AMD Rhyzen I7 17OOk Octo-core, 16 GB RAM ( 8 dedicated to Minecraft).
I'm mostly a builder and like good looking stuff. I use a 128x texture pack and Mostly Seus V11, Continuum 2.0.2 or Sildurs Vibrant Shaders with Optifine...
I have my game set to 12 chunks, the Waving of Leaves and such doesn't even work with the Seus Shaders but I only get around 30 fps with that shader on...Without shaders and just using the default texture pack (12 chunks render distance) I only get around 60 if not lower fps (400 in menus for whatever reason)....This is kind of annoying, I was used to playing with bad fps, now I get a (to my standards) beastly pc and I still get bad-ish fps for some reason. I kinda understand with shaders (even though my pc should be good enough?) but without shaders and just the default texture pack only 70 fps?
If anybody can tell me why my fps is consitantly this low or even have a fix that would be greatly appreciated.
I can play GTA 5 at Ultra settings with about 80 - 100 fps so I'm baffled at the fps on Minecraft
