Last night, my GF and I were playing together on the same computer using MultiMC and it's simple play offline mode, which allows this easily. However, seemingly out of nowhere my game crashed, but not a normal crash. The screen turned gray, and then it had a "Minecraft has crashed" option, but the visuals weren't centered in the crash screen. (It wasn't a normal crash screen either, but this was due to Vanillafix being installed, allowing the option to just go back to the title screen) but when loading back into the game, I didn't spawn back where I was, but rather back at the spawn, with basically no items and no experience. No matter how many times I attempted to get back into it, using any nickname or even my regular username, it would be that. I just looked through the NBT data of the world and it seems my playerdata is gone.
Could it possibly have been corrupted, or just randomly deleted? Is there a good way to get it back? I should note that there appears to be backups of the world, but these are older and not accurate to what I had at the crash. Are they my best bet, just working off of them?
Also, how does Minecraft handle user data? Is it based on the username given to a server, or IP?
Whenever we open the second Minecraft for her to use, my sound cuts out. It just stops completely. Is this due to the fact that we're both using the base instance of 1.12.2 to load the game? If possible, is there a way to change that, so we use separate ones, also allowing us to have different audio outputs? (So my sound comes through my second monitor, hers go through the speakers)

Perhaps more information could be gleamed from the crash report:

Also, one more question, though a small one.
