Hello, this is my first post here on these forums and ive got an issue.:(
I recently got back into Minecraft, and modding in particular, but just after installing 44 Mods my performance ingame is really horrendous.
My PC is terrible, but i dont think its so that bad that it cant run that ammount of mods. For instance, modded skyrim is absolutely fluid even with around 60 mods.
The PC Specs:
GPU: AMD Radeon R5 M230
CPU: Intel Core i5-4210U 1.7Ghz
4GB Ram
The Mods:
BiomesOPlenty
BloodMagic
BuildCraft
CustomNPCs
EnderIO
EnderStorage
ExtraUtilities
Gravestone
Hats
InventoryPets
InventoryTweaks
JustEnoughItems
Morph
OpenBlocks
Optifine
PortalGun
DamageIndicator
TwilightForest
(i didnt bother mentioning the libraries)
Does anyone have any recommendations for me please?
Modded 1.12.2 usually requires 4G memory allocated to run smoothly. Since the PC has only 4G system RAM, running 2G allocated might be iffy. Never allocated more than half of the PC's system RAM to MC.

Considering my laptop has similar specs to your computer, and it performs terribly without any mods, I think your computer is just old.
That being said, you can improve performance greatly by reducing render distance, closing all background programs, and using OptiFine to disable graphics niceties you don't really need.
For instance, modded skyrim is absolutely fluid even with around 60 mods.
Unfortunately you can't compare Minecraft java edition to other games in this way. Minecraft java edition is a terribly programmed game and runs poorly on pretty much any hardware. Skyrim's codebase is much better optimized.

Curse PremiumDo you have 64 bit Java installed (requires 64 bit OS)? MC 1.12 requires larger amounts of memory allocated than older version of MC.
