Ive had this issue for 2 weeks now. I havent been able to play minecraft at all because when I try to launch the game from the launcher it crashes my entire OS. At first it would make my monitors go black and resume to what it was before I tried to launch the game with a crash message. After a couple days it went to my whole OS going off and my computer having to reboot completely. I have java at the most recent update, and im not trying to launch the game in any pre-release version or beta update or anything. I dont have this issue with any other game and I dont understand why it would do this or why it's doing it in general. I tried every hotfix and "fix" I could find and im still having the issue. Anyone got any ideas, or actual fixes?

Are you using the new or old launcher? Either way, you might want to try using the other one and see if that helps. Also, the crash report would be helpful.
