Hello, I have a large problem. My minecraft is not working properly. It started when I downloaded optifine 1.13 beta, and then it wouldn't render water properly, but other than that worked fine. Now I can't join worlds, start worlds or join servers. After that it got even worse, I can launch minecraft and get to the title screen, but when I press "Singleplayer", it freezes. If I press "Multiplayer", it works until I try to join a server, then freezes on the loading screen. I can fiddle with the options but it doesn't do me any good.

I tried deleting everything and reinstalling, I tried deleting and reinstalling Java, I've deleted the optifine 1.13, and the optifine 1.12.2 i had as well as 1.11.2. I've tried giving minecraft more memory and I've tried deleting other things to make room or having minecraft as the only thing running. Nothing has worked.

does this mean my old worlds are permanantly broken? and why does it not get me to the singleplayer screen? can i not do any worlds at all now?

I'm trying to create a new world in 1.12.2 and it's gotten stuck on the loading world building terrain screen. something is still wrong here. is there a way to fix the worlds i've accidentally converteed to 1.13.1 to get them working again? i don't understand

also i can't make a new 1.13.1 world either. suggestions pls

I suggest you reread the FAQs, especially the incompatible software part.

another thing, i transferred the worlds to my computer yesterday from the laptop where minecraft is broken to see if they were corrupted. they weren't. they worked 100% fine on the computer.

This entire time you wasted trying that you could've fixed the issue if you would start actually reading and following the instructions in the FAQs.

I am reading the FAQ. I've tried installing the Java it told me to, no change. I've tried optimizing my worlds, no change. I've tried having it run without "incompatible software" running. I've tried updating my graphics driver. No luck. It froze as well. I don't think closing all the "background processes" will work, a lot of those refuse to close when I try to get rid of them. I'm about to try the last option. Not holding my breath. What about after Iv'e done all that and it still doesn't work?

The Malware remover thing also froze. It's not working either.

I hearby eat my words. it worked. thank you much sir, go ahead and brag. i'm going to build my kelp farm now.
