When I try to open Minecraft it gets to the screen where it says mojang in big letters but just stays there forever. I tried opening on 1.6.4 as a test and that worked fine. I also tried getting forge for 1.8.9 but once I launched that nothing happened.

Run HijackThis as Administrator, choose "I accept", then "Do a system scan and save a log file". After a while a text file will open. Copy everything, put the log on https://paste.ubuntu.com and give us the link
