Since the 1.13 Update Aquatic and 1.13.1, I've been frequently experiencing massive lag spikes. these are pretty much ruining the entire game experience, causing elytra failure, frame drops, jumping back and ghost blocks. This happens in pretty much every world so I can't identify anything that would be causing the lag. I was wondering if anyone can provide any advice or solution, thanks in advance.

well for one you are using an old version of Java 8... that isn't helping you. that system also looks like (and i could be wrong) a lower end build, the sys requirements did shoot up in 1.13 (performance improvements are promised for the next update around Christmas)

I'm pretty sure I updated Java just a couple of weeks ago, and I'm aware the 1.13 has higher sys requirements but my system can handle other games (PUBG, GTA V) without a problem

NOTE: i got these arguments from a forum post on XEAL Gaming Community, the poster claimed they will optimize Minecraft

you may have updated java, but minecraft isn't using it. go to launch options make sure advanced is enabled and change to the newest javaw version
Done, no difference.
I think Imma stay in 1.12.2 until Mojang fix the performance issues. from what I've read, they're working on it.
