Years ago I was using a youtuber created mod pack while it was a work in progress. It went through 3 different versions before it was settled and even then I went in and updated mods that they didn't in their final version. Now when I try to play Minecraft comes alive the game crashes if I try to go into my spouses combat menu and the combat menu is the only way to get her to use the sword I give her. After some testing I created a new world with my updated version of the mod pack and had no issues so I believe it has to do with the old world's files and was hoping it could be fixed without having to scrap the entire world and all my progress. Can anyone help with this?

its possible there is an invalid item in your spouce's inventory, try emptying out everything you can then delete her player file (this will erase all items) and let minecraft regenerate it
