so the other day, I was able to play Minecraft fine (running it off of the 2gb of ram). later that same day, I got back on Minecraft, but it gave me the error:
Initializing game
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
I tried running Minecraft off of 8gb of ram, I was able to run Minecraft. However the next time I tried opening Minecraft it gave me the same error. So I increased the jvm argument to run Minecraft off of 16gb of ram. that was working for a couple of days before Minecraft gave me this error:
Initializing game
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Requested array size exceeds VM limit
what I noticed, (I used task manager to find out), is each time I opened Minecraft it would be using more ram than the last time. I have completely reinstalled Minecraft, deleted all files, everything. Idk what to do, I only have 16gb of ram so pls help.

if you only have 16G of ram in computer why are you allocating ALL of it to minecraft, at most you should only allocate 8 to allow the computer to have some for other things running, like windows itself.
Being you are running vanilla 1G should be plenty
