I play a modpack with 120 mods on a low-end laptop (60fps at render distance 2 with optifine) and a 1 MB/s internet. Everytime I log in to my world, there’s at least 3-7 chunks that haven’t loaded. I change gamemode and fly past them and after travelling through some biomes I keep seeing some chunks unloaded. My question is: How much does internet matter when playing on a internal server? Are chunks mostly the work of the CPU? Should I increase RAM from 5 to 7? Or am I required to just get a better pc.?
I changed RAM from 5 to 7 GB and it fixed some chunks but there was still about 1-2 chunks unloaded anywhere I’d go. I then changed my aspect ratio and resolution size to get more frames and decided to up the render distance to 4. Apparently that fixed it.

Post a screenshot with F3 enabled and your JVM arguments.
