(Sorry if this post is a bit weird, I've never posted to a forum, but I'm desperate.)
I purchased Minecraft many years ago, and never had a problem with downloading it, but now that I need the Windows 10 version to play it, I've run into a BIG problem. I redeemed the free Windows 10 version a few months ago and played it for a while until I uninstalled it.
I want to play again, but I can't find it ANYWHERE. I looked on the Minecraft website, on Mojang, and on the Microsoft site. Mojang tells me to redeem it, and when I go to Microsoft to do so, it says it's already been redeemed. All the support answers say to check my order history, but it's not there either. I only have two Microsoft accounts, both of which turned up empty. I have no idea what to do from here. I've been looking for about 3 hours.
The Win 10 version was only free for a limited time. (like the first year or so) If you uninstalled it and did not keep the original installation file, you may be out of luck.

Are you referring to the free demo or the redeemed free version you get from owning the Java version? On Mojang it says buying the Java version even now will get you a free Windows 10 version.

ModeratorIt will be on your mojang account, though the key can't be redeemed twice, if its not listed then your on the wrong account.
and it will also be on the windows store account used to redeem it, if you can't see it again wrong account.
For any further account help please contact Mojang and/or Microsoft as they would be the only people who can help more.

Moderatorif its saying buy minecraft and get free windows 10 you are not signed in, or on an account thats not bought the game.
Either way you will need to contact Mojang for account support, NO ONE here can help properly with account issues
